This is me

Hey there! I'm Ruby Tavano, and I’m currently pursuing a B.S.C in Public Relations at the University of Miami! With a completed minor in Theatre Arts (focus in Stage Management) and a second working minor in the Music Industry. My adventure in the creative media world kicked off in high school when I purchased my very first disposable camera. I fell in love with capturing moments of other people (I even wrote my college essay about it). I began an Instagram account (pics.by.rubykate), and it was my friends ' and my favorite digital diary. I soon became interested in creative media and was offered the opportunity to run my high school theatre department's Instagram. I gained over 300 followers on the account in just a school year. The response I received to my work motivated me to grow in my craft. 

 

I specialize in photography and media promotion for social media, but my creative spirit has led me to explore a variety of roles in the theatre world, like stage management, directing, choreography, editing, TikTok account ambassador, and much more. My biggest dream is to work a production at Madison Square Garden in New York City or at a big record label.
